Overview
Dr. Vaiciunaite is a board-certified surgeon who is native to Fort Myers, Florida. She graduated from Fort Myers High School with honors and completed a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Sciences at University of South Florida with magna cum laude. She received her medical degree from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in North Carolina and went on to complete her general surgery internship and residency at Western Reserve Hospital in Ohio. Dr. Vaiciunaite has gained additional training with a minimally invasive foregut fellowship through Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA. She has a special interest in reflux disease, Barrett's esophagus, hiatal hernia, esophageal and gastric motility disorders, along with gallbladder disease, diverticular disease, and inguinal hernias. She has fellowship training in minimally invasive esophageal, gastric surgery, and advanced endoscopy.
Dr. Vaiciunaite is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract. She has received the Outstanding Graduate Medical Education Trainee Physician Award. She enjoys spending time with family and is excited to contribute to the health of her community.
